Ilona Coleman (D)

Ilona Coleman has been a practicing lawyer for the past 22 years and currently is the legal director for the Criminal Defense Practice at The Bronx Defenders. In this role, she represents individual clients, manages a department, conducts trainings, oversees all appellate litigation, and pursues civil rights impact litigation. Prior to becoming a public defender, she worked in private practice where she was involved in civil litigation and white collar criminal investigations in the federal arena.
