Elected officials, community leaders and energy stakeholders gathered in Astoria last month to break ground on a new battery energy storage system (BESS) that would enhance electric grid reliability.
MicroGrid Networks is currently installed two 5 megawatts (MW) battery energy storage systems at 24-51 49th St., a site formerly used as parking facilities.
