A packed room at the Howard Beach-Lindenwood Civic Association meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 29, heard from candidates for state Attorney General and Assembly District 23, with public safety, affordability, taxes, crime and the direction of New York’s criminal justice policies dominating the discussion.
The candidates forum followed the civic association’s regular community updates and business. The evening began with Queens Civil Court candidates before Republican Attorney General candidate Saritha Komatireddy addressed the audience. Democratic Attorney General incumbent Letitia James had also been invited but notified the civic association that a scheduling conflict prevented her from attending.
