Two days after the midterm election delivered stunning victories for Democrats across the country, Brooklyn politicos were torn on how to describe the results.
The party, which had been cautiously optimistic about a “blue wave” as voters grew frustrated with President Donald Trump and Republicans, took back control of the U.S. House and the Senate. It didn’t end there. Democrats also took dozens of governor’s races and won hundreds of state legislative seats.
