Deirdre Levy is a born-and- raised New Yorker whose public service experience beginning at the Flushing YMCA when she was on the board of managers. Levy has taught for over 12 years in District 75 and community school settings in the Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens and Manhattan. Levy is currently teaching students with autism, emotional disabilities, and speech impairment. Levy holds a B.A. in public affairs and policy, M.S. in higher education administration from Albany, SUNY and M.S. in special education from Pace University. Levy was an AmeriCorps City Year Corps member and later became a NYC Teaching Fellow.
