Julie Won (D)

Candidate Site

Julie Won is the first woman and immigrant elected to the 26th Council District and the first Korean-American council member in the city’s history. Julie immigrated to New York from South Korea when she was eight years old and is a proud product of New York public schools. As a council member, Julie has delivered new housing, new schools, and welcomed thousands of immigrants to our City. Now she is running for Congress to fight for a Lifetime of Care – a safety net that catches families at every stage of life from prenatal health care through a dignified retirement.
