The Village of Great Neck board of trustees postponed action on two proposed laws regulating outdoor lighting and amplified sound Tuesday after trustees questioned how the rules would be enforced and whether they could lead to disputes between neighbors.
At the Oct. 20 meeting, Village of Great Neck Mayor Pedram Bral and Deputy Mayor Barton Sobel said the proposals needed further consideration, with both measures tabled until the board’s Nov. 3 meeting. The discussion came as residents also raised concerns about traffic following the temporary closure of North Road.
