Since the new Village of Saddle Rock administration was sworn in April 22, village board meetings have followed a familiar pattern: routine resolutions are quickly approved, followed by lengthy and sometimes contentious exchanges with residents over issues that have remained unresolved for months.
Wednesday, Oct. 7, night’s board meeting was no different. The board swiftly approved five routine resolutions covering prior meeting minutes, and vouchers before opening the floor to public comment. What followed was about an hour of questions and disputes involving taxes, zoning, transparency, property use and other quality-of-life concerns.
