Seven Long Island fire departments receive over $1M in state grants

Seven Long Island fire departments received over $1 million in state funding to improve facilities, response capabilities and emergency preparedness, Gov. Kathy Hochul announced on Wednesday, Sept. 16.

The seven Long Island departments are among 65 departments across New York State that received roughly $25 million combined in state grants.
