New York State is giving more than $9 million in local grants, with nearly $4 million being sent to Long Island municipalities to support communities in their efforts to bolster their cybersecurity posture against increasingly sophisticated and dangerous cyber threats
Long Island will receive just over $4 million in cybersecurity grants through the Strengthening Essential Cybersecurity for Utilities and Resiliency Enhancements, or SECURE, grant program, including just over $3 million for Nassau County projects and more than $983,000 for Suffolk County projects, according to an announcement Monday, Aug. 3, by Gov. Kathy Hochul’s office.
