Glen Cove City Council looking to make $12 million improvement to local water with help of state grant

The Glen Cove City Council is looking to complete a $12.4 million water treatment system project at its Kelly Street Well, as part of its ongoing effort to provide safe drinking water to residents.

The city council unanimously approved a resolution to apply for a $5 million grant through the state Water Infrastructure Improvement Act Grant Program for the project, which also required the city to authorize the issuance of $5 million in serial bonds at its Tuesday, June 23, meeting.
