Diana Moreno is a Queens mom, immigrant from Ecuador, union organizer, and the assemblymember representing District 36, including Astoria and Long Island City. She has spent her career fighting for working people, from organizing immigrant workers with NICE to advocating for safe staffing with the New York State Nurses Association. Elected in a 2026 special election, to succeed Zohran Mamdani, she is focused on making New York more affordable, protecting immigrant communities, and delivering for working families.
