Mayor Zohran Mamdani joined fans in Astoria sports bar Rivercrest Friday night to watch as the New York Knicks secured a narrow victory against the San Antonio Spurs to take a 2-0 lead in the NBA Finals.

Mamdani joined state Sen. Mike Gianaris, who is retiring at the end of the year, and Aber Kawas, a candidate to replace Gianaris in the 12th Senate District, at the Ditmars Boulevard bar for the 105-104 victory, posing with fans throughout the game.
