On Thursday, April 23, the NYPD 104th Precinct Community Council held a meeting at Maranatha Baptist Church in Ridgewood. As the meeting progressed, Council Member Phil Wong denounced the street takeover at Middle Village that occurred in the early morning hours of Saturday, April 18.
Jon Kablack, the Community Council President, oversaw the evening’s discussion at the sanctuary, located at 61-16 68th Ave., in the presence of residents, district office representatives, police officers and members of the press. At the start of the meeting, two motions were made to adopt the agenda and dispense with the reading of last month’s Minutes.
