Woodhaven’s Forest Park Drive repaving completed with funding secured from CM Ariola

The repaving of Forest Park Drive in Woodhaven, between Myrtle Avenue and Park Lane South, began on Wednesday, April 8, and has now been completed. Council Member Joann Ariola earmarked the funds in the NYC Council‘s Fiscal Year 2026 (FY26) budget, bringing residents of the surrounding neighborhoods one step closer to achieving a smooth ride on the long-marred roadway.

“The people who live around Forest Park have had to deal with bumpy roads and pothole-damaged vehicles for far too long, and I am thrilled to see this project finally getting done,” said Ariola in a statement. “I would like to thank my partners at NYC Parks and at the DOT for their work here. Together, we will make those rough rides a thing of the past and give residents here the quality of life they deserve – a quality of life that starts with smooth streets.”
