On Friday, April 17, Assembly Member Jenifer Rajkumar introduced a legislation package of ethics and transparency bills designed to take aim at “abuses that erode faith in government,” as described in a press release.
The package is intended to address the following issues: “no-bid contracts, relationships between contractors and public officials, unauthorized contractors receiving public money, undisclosed lobbying pressure, and big-money influence from corporations doing business with the government.”
