Aber Kawas is the daughter of Palestinian refugees who saw her family torn apart by ICE. She’s a dedicated organizer who’s led fights for justice and safety for immigrant communities, raising the minimum wage and dignified employment, stopping police harassment and surveillance, and ending New York State complicity in war crimes against Palestinians. She never saw herself running for office, but sees the need for electing organizers who can mobilize working-class communities to impact transformational change in Albany.
