Elon Musk’s SpaceXAI is expected to testify at Monday’s rare full-City Council hearing on artificial intelligence, a Council spokesperson confirmed Friday, days after Speaker Julie Menin subpoenaed the company to compel its appearance.

Musk’s SpaceXAI is now expected to join OpenAI, Anthropic, Google and Meta at the Oct. 5 Committee of the Whole hearing, where representatives from the major AI companies are set to testify publicly under oath as all 51 Council members examine safety risks and proposed city regulations.
