2026 Governor’s Race: Hochul heads into final stretch with $33M war chest, and Mamdani on deck

Gov. Kathy Hochul’s re-election campaign and the New York State Democratic Party are heading into the final stretch of election season with more than $33 million combined in cash on hand after raising $8.4 million during the September filing period, according to figures released by Hochul’s campaign Tuesday.

Friends for Kathy Hochul raised more than $2.6 million during the period and finished with more than $18.5 million on hand. More than $5.7 million was raised into the state Democratic Party, which ended the period with more than $15 million.
