Town of Islip names developer for Long Island MacArthur Airport terminal project

The Town of Islip has tapped Fly Long Island, a joint venture of RXR and Avports, to build a new terminal at Long Island MacArthur Airport, according to town officials.

The town issued a request for qualifications in 2025 for a developer to build and operate a new terminal at Ronkonkoma airport. The project includes creating a new terminal to accommodate additional flights and connecting the airport to the nearby Ronkonkoma Long Island Rail Road station.
