Town of Oyster Bay schedules hearing to change law after board settled housing discrimination lawsuits last month

The Oyster Bay Town Board set a public hearing date for next month to amend the town code after it settled two housing discrimination lawsuits in April brought by the state and federal governments.

The board unanimously approved to set a hearing date for Tuesday, June 16, to amend the wording of the RNG Next Generation Residence District, which the town said it would do as part of its settlement agreement.
