The Hempstead Town Board unanimously voted on Tuesday, May 12, to change its zoning code to reduce the size of houses that can be built in Levittown, after previously voting to delay the decision at a prior meeting.
Houses in Levittown can no longer be built out to 30% of the lot size after the board’s decision. The board reduced that percentage to 27.5% of the lot.
