Town of Oyster Bay approves extension for battery energy storage systems for one year

The Town of Oyster Bay has approved a 12-month moratorium on battery energy storage systems, the fourth time the town has extended a temporary ban after first enacting it in April 2024.

The board’s unanimous approval of the extension had been strongly supported by several town residents at previous town board meetings.
