What are your top legislative priorities for 2026?
My top legislative priorities for 2026 are rooted in delivering dignity, opportunity, and equity for the people I serve. I am focused on advancing humane and comprehensive immigration reform, protecting access to affordable, quality health care, and ensuring technology is developed and governed responsibly. I will continue fighting to safeguard civil and voting rights, and to expand access to safe, affordable housing so every family can thrive in the Ninth Congressional District and across this country.

How do you address constituent concerns in the Capitol?
When I address constituent concerns on Capitol Hill, I start by listening. The voices and lived experiences of the people of New York’s Ninth Congressional District guide my work. I bring their concerns directly into meetings, hearings, and legislative negotiations, and I advocate for solutions that improve their daily lives. Through constant engagement, casework support, and accountability, I remain committed to being a strong, responsive, and effective voice for Central and Southwest Brooklyn.

What services does your district office provide to constituents?
My district office serves as a direct resource and advocate for the residents of New York’s Ninth Congressional District. We assist constituents with federal agencies such as Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid, veterans’ benefits, immigration, passports, student aid, and so much more. We also connect residents to local, state, and federal resources, host community events and mobile office hours, and work every day to ensure government is accessible and responsive to the people we serve.

How can constituents connect with you to share their thoughts and concerns on local and legislative issues?
Constituents are encouraged to connect with my office to share their thoughts and concerns on local and legislative issues. My team and I proudly provide federal agency and casework assistance, helping residents navigate matters involving Social Security, immigration, passports, veterans’ benefits, housing, and more. Constituents can reach us by phone, visit my official website, social media, visit my district office, or attend community meetings and town halls. We are here to listen, advocate, and serve.

What is the most common issue your district office helps constituents resolve?
Every day, our team assists families and individuals with immigration challenges, resolving delays with visas or work permits, addressing case backlogs, supporting asylum seekers, and helping constituents reunite with loved ones. In a district as richly and culturally diverse as New York’s Ninth, these matters are deeply personal and often urgent. My district staff are committed to ensuring constituents are treated with dignity, fairness, and compassion as they navigate a complex federal system.
