Nassau County, town and New York State officials came together to call out Liberty Utilities’ proposed rate increases less than two weeks before the water company’s Albany public hearing on the issue.

Hempstead Town Supervisor John Ferretti was one of 10 public officials to gather in Merrick on Thursday, Oct. 22, calling for the State Public Service Commission (PSC) to reject Liberty Utilities’ proposed rate hikes that could see some Nassau residents have their costs increase by up to 37%.
