AOC latest NY lawmaker to receive envelope with suspicious white powder amid nationwide investigation

U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez became the latest New York elected official to receive suspicious mail Tuesday after an envelope containing white powder was delivered to her Hunts Point district office in the Bronx, police confirmed.

The incident at AOC’s office came just four days after a similar envelope prompted a hazardous materials response at fellow Bronx U.S. Rep. Ritchie Torres’ district office, where six people were exposed to a substance later determined to be non-hazardous.
