A local village moved forward with a proposed landmark law, scheduling a public hearing on the measure as officials work to preserve a small number of historically significant properties.
At its Monday, Oct. 5, regular meeting, the Village of Plandome Heights Board of Trustees discussed the draft law and how landmark designations would work, including how restrictions would be recorded and communicated to future property owners. Mayor Kenneth Riscica said only a handful of properties could potentially qualify.
