This winter, New Yorkers will once again be able to enjoy a steaming hot sit-down meal in the freezing cold.
Mayor Zohran Mamdani on Monday signed recently passed City Council legislation that re-establishes the city’s year-round outdoor dining program. The measure lifts seasonal restrictions placed on roadway al-fresco dining, which required restaurateurs to dismantle and stow away their outdoor setups between Nov. 30 and March 31.
