Council Member Lynn Schulman recognized a local Queens Girl Scout for her longtime efforts to improve healthcare accessibility in Council District 29, inviting her to a meeting with the city’s Health and Mental Hygiene Commissioner Dr. Alister Martin this week.
Girl Scout leader Julia Siu Lin, a student at the Bronx High School of Science and a longtime Girl Scout, met with Schulman and Martin at the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene Gotham offices in Long Island City on Tuesday to discuss healthcare, accessibility and the future of medicine.
