Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman said the Nassau Interim Finance Authority, a state-backed board that oversees the county’s finances, should move into an advisory authority, which would give the county more power over its own financial decisions, something that the board and state disagree on.
“We are in the best fiscal condition that the county has ever been in. We are doing terrific,” Blakeman said at a news conference in Mineola on Friday, April 10.
