Chuck is a Queens-born former U.S. diplomat, community advocate, and city government leader. The son of Korean immigrant street vendors, Chuck served his country as a U.S. foreign service officer under President Obama before resigning in 2019 to protest President Trump’s immigration policies. He turned to local organizing to fight back, leading campaigns to mobilize immigrant New Yorkers to respond to the census and to vote. Chuck is a husband, a dad, and a foster parent, and he is running to defend and fight for working families in Queens.
