Alina is not a career politician. She’s a businesswoman and a 20-year resident of Manhattan’s District 28. Her family immigrated here as Jewish refugees in 1989 and this community became a home. The East Side sets the standard in innovation, cultural arts, and education. She’s worked to build businesses and fought to stay afloat in a city that is often designed to push people out. She’s dealt with housing battles and has watched small businesses get crushed. Alina’s stepping forward to stand up for the residents who want to preserve what makes it exceptional.
