As a community organizer, minister and now New York State assembly member representing the 71st District, Al Taylor has built a record of hard work, caring and getting results.
In 2008, he started Man Up! to combat gun violence, holding weekly morning prayer walks. Soon after, the NYPD commissioner credited the program with dramatically reducing violence, and it’s been replicated in other housing projects.
Elected to the Assembly in 2017, Al works hard to give back as good as he got – to build up our communities, educate our young people, and give everyone a fighting chance at a better life.
