Candidate: New York City Council / District 05

Collin Thompson (D)

Candidate Site

Collin Thompson is a public servant, educator, and problem solver who’s spent his career improving NYC’s schools and communities. As a teacher, dean, and principal in Harlem and the Bronx, he earned trust by listening, collaborating, and delivering results. Collin has advised public school superintendents nationwide on equity and school improvement. He holds degrees from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville and Johns Hopkins. Collin lives on the Upper East Side with his partner, Haro, a trauma ICU nurse at Bellevue, and their labrador, Springsteen. He’s active at Park Avenue United Methodist Church and volunteers to serve New Yorkers in need.
