Born in Senegal, Diakhate’s journey reflects the resilience and determination that define the immigrant experience.
Over the past years, he has built a career rooted in service, advocacy, and leadership.
His diverse experience includes roles as a United Nations officer, adjunct professor at Wagner College, and civil servant with the Unified Court System and New York State Assembly
He is ready to promote political equity and justice for all. He worked for nearly six years to mobilize skilled volunteers for humanitarian, recovery, and development efforts. This global perspective fuels his ability to address the pressing challenges facing Staten Islanders today
