Council Member Mercedes Narcisse represents Brooklyn’s 46th District and chairs the Council’s Committee on Hospitals. A registered nurse and former small business owner, she is a proud CUNY graduate who emigrated from Haiti as a teen.
A fierce advocate, she has secured millions for parks, libraries, schools, and community programs. She championed and passed legislation to improve sickle cell care and train NYPD officers on autism. Her office is one of NYC’s most active in constituent services. A devoted mother of four, she was re-elected in 2023 to continue serving her community.
