Jamell Henderson is an authentic leader who has represented NYCHA Kingsborough Houses since 2007. Jamell is a 4-time graduate of the City University of New York, currently a CSI doctoral candidate, and he has served in many leadership roles, advocating for his community on the city, state and federal levels of government. Jamell is the New York City regional council chair of Citizen Action of NY, chair of Neighborhood Advisory Board #8 and member of Community Board #8. Jamell is also the vice president of Karma Carnival International, proudly representing Caribbean culture. Jamell believes in authentic leadership and wants to bring it to the district.
