Council GOP notches one major win in Bronx election, fails to make net gain

Vanessa Aronson is a leader and experienced public servant advocating for our city’s most pressing issues, from affordability to education.
Currently the ASPCA’s senior director of strategy, Vanessa was a NYC public school teacher and U.S. foreign service officer. At the UN, she secured multi-million dollar food assistance for 795 million people—a testament to her ability to deliver results.
An experienced organizer and mobilizer, Vanessa’s coalition includes the WFP, Jim Owles Democratic Club, and the Lexington Democratic Club.
A UChicago and Harvard graduate, Vanessa lives with her husband and children on the UES, where she served on Community Board 8.
