Romeo grew up, got married, and raised two children in South Ozone Park. He has been a community leader, small business owner, and advocate. He serves as district governor of the Brooklyn & Queens Lions Club, a 17-year member of Community Board 10, and in the NYPD’s Community Partners Program. Romeo has always worked with community members and elected officials to give back to Southeast Queens, through community events like an annual Thanksgiving turkey giveaway, Christmas tree lighting in Richmond Hill, and back to school giveaways. If elected, he would be the first Guyanese-American to serve in the City Council.
