Candidate: New York City Council / District 20

Sandra Ung (D)

(Incumbent)

Candidate Site

Sandra Ung represents the 20th Council District, which includes Flushing, Mitchell-Linden, Murray Hill, Queensboro Hill and Fresh Meadows.

After escaping the Cambodian genocide as a child, Sandra and her family immigrated to New York City when she was just seven years old. Sandra attended local New York City public schools before graduating from Columbia Law School.

Before joining the City Council, Sandra worked as an attorney in a nonprofit defending survivors of domestic violence and advocating for their families. She later served in government on all levels, including in the office of U.S. Representative Grace Meng.
