Jason Murillo (R)

Candidate Site

Jason Murillo, aka “DJ Loudmouth,” is a longtime East Village and Lower East Side resident, community organizer, and activist. Growing up in NYCHA public housing, he understands the struggles of his community. An award-winning producer and small business owner, he has spent decades in entertainment and philanthropy, providing school supplies, free haircuts, and toy drives for local families. He has a multicultural heritage and is also a caretaker for his elderly mother and special needs child. Running as a Republican for New York City Council District 2, he seeks to advocate for public housing, disability services, and community support.
