For over a decade, Andrea Gordillo has been a Lower East Side political and cultural leader. As former president of Coalition for a District Alternative, she helped fight against the affordability crisis. As a leader at the Loisaida and Clemente centers, she put hundreds of artists to work in community development. As chairperson of her Community Board, she helped secure hundreds of affordable housing units.
Andrea is running because we need a fresh voice with real experience— someone who can bring bold, community-driven leadership to City Hall and she knows how to do it.
