Candidate: New York City Council / District 19

Alexander J Caruso (D)

Alexander J Caruso is a member of Gen Z, a substitute teacher, and a political organizer, born and raised in Bayside, Queens. Raised by an Italian father – a lawyer – and a Colombian mother –-a paralegal – an understanding of law and order runs through his blood. As a teacher, he knows firsthand how broken our public education system is in NYC. He’s running for the same reason he became a teacher—for the kids. If we’re not building a better society for them, then what’s the point? We need a city government, run not by “politicians,” but by public servants. That is why he’s running for New York City Council District 19.
