Jess Coleman was raised in Battery Park City, where his parents taught him the power of community. His mom organized school fundraisers, and his dad led efforts to rebuild local ballfields and expand youth sports, showing him that real change takes commitment and persistence. As an attorney and Community Board 1 leader, Jess has fought for affordable housing, safer streets, and stronger public transit. He co-chairs CB1’s Transportation Committee, leading efforts to implement congestion pricing and pedestrian-friendly projects. Now, he’s running for City Council to lower rents, make neighborhoods safer, and keep Lower Manhattan livable for everyone.
