Ismael Malave Perez is a seasoned public servant with 27 years of experience under five NYC comptrollers. Now, he’s running to become the city’s first Latino comptroller. Born in Santurce, Puerto Rico, and raised in the Bronx, he holds an M.B.A. from Baruch College and a bachelor’s in economics from Lehman College. Malave is committed to financial transparency, protecting taxpayer dollars, and expanding financial literacy for all New Yorkers. A champion for working families, he stands for fiscal responsibility, prevailing wages, and safeguarding public pensions. With integrity, strength, and honor, he is the people’s candidate.
