Appeals Court allows Mamdani to implement second-home tax; reverses Staten Island ruling

Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s recent rollout of the pied-à-terre second-home tax, which faced multiple legal challenges this year, scored a major win in court on Wednesday. 

The Appellate Division of the New York Supreme Court ruled for the City of New York in the challenge to the second-home tax that was filed and won on Staten Island in September.
