Southeast Queens neighborhoods experienced significant job and business growth over decade-long period: Report

The neighborhoods of Ozone Park, Woodhaven, Richmond Hill and Howard Beach experienced significant growth in jobs and private-sector businesses across a decade ending in 2024, according to a new economic snapshot of southeast Queens released last week by the office of State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli.

The report, released on Friday, Oct. 23, found that there is “much to be excited about” in the neighborhoods, pointing to a 14.3% growth in private-sector jobs between 2014 and 2024 and a 16.2% growth in private-sector businesses in the area within the same timeframe.
