Mayor Zohran Mamdani is replacing four of the five existing mayoral appointees to the Civilian Complaint Review Board (CCRB), reshaping the city’s independent police watchdog as his administration presses ahead with broader efforts to strengthen NYPD accountability.
The mayor announced Monday that Reginald Greene, Lisa Hoyes, Lisa Landau and Wesner Pierre, who bring backgrounds in criminal prosecution, public defense, civil rights advocacy and community-based violence prevention, will join the board, which investigates complaints of police misconduct and recommends disciplinary action against officers.
