At Gracie Mansion, Trump says it ‘feels like a home’ as Mamdani advances Sunnyside Yard talks

Mayor Zohran Mamdani and President Donald Trump held their latest meeting Monday, this time at Gracie Mansion, to open technical talks between City Hall and the White House over the mayor’s $21 billion federal funding pitch to build 12,000 homes above Sunnyside Yard in Queens.

The mayor initially pitched the idea to Trump during a trip to Washington back in February, and while Monday’s conversation on the Upper East Side advanced the massive Queens proposal, it stopped well short of a federal funding commitment.
