More potholes filled, but slower ambulances: NYC’s latest government performance report shows a mixed picture

Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s administration is touting more pothole repairs, increased affordable housing production and falling crime as evidence that its focus on the nuts and bolts of city government is paying off.

But the same sprawling performance report released Thursday shows some core services moving in the opposite direction, with New Yorkers waiting longer for ambulances, streetlight repairs and some basic government services than they did a year earlier.
